Who said taco seasoning was just for tacos? To be honest, I never use taco seasoning in my tacos (is that weird?). I use it for a number of other things, like fajitas, homemade nachos, and taco soup, and that makes it worth my while to keep this on hand. Added bonus: Using the homemade version means less “crap” from the processed packets, right? It’s easy to make and I usually recruit my two-year-old to help. If a two-year-old can do it, you can, too!
Honestly, I thought it might have been a little over the top to create a recipe for taco seasoning because it is just.that.simple. But alas, I’ve done just that. The taco seasoning recipe below is perfect for one meal, but I often triple it and keep it on hand in my pantry. The great thing about it is that you can customize it based on your taste buds. My husband isn’t a huge fan of cumin, so you’ll see in my recipe below that I am a little light on the cumin. Adjust it how you see fit and enjoy!
